Adak Alaska

Well, these will be a few pictures that I found recently and scanned into the computer.  Most of them are poor quality taken with an instamatic or worse.  From November 1963 through April 1966, I was in the Navy and stationed on an island at the end of the Aleutian Chain called Adak.  It was a military installation that provided support to ships in the area among other responsibilities.  There were 5000 dependents on the island.   This is a picture of the Adak National Forest, which I understand still exists there.  I'm on a little Honda 65 motor scooter that I purchased from Japan while on the island.  In the various pages here, you will find a bunch of Radio and TV related shots that I was heavily involved with during my entire stay.
