In a visit to Los Angeles, I was given a tour of the KRTH
transmitter site on Mount Wilson. Their installation is a work of
art. Lynn Duke who built most of what you will see conducted the tour.

A view of most of the mountain top from just below the
site. The tall tower on the right supports the KRTH antenna.

This shows the 3 bay main antenna almost at the top of the
tower.

Inside the transmitter room you can see most of the racks,
the BE-35, and Harris FM-25K backup. The gang at the end of the equipment
is Kent Yeglin, CE of KITS in San Francisco, Lynn Duke of KRTH, and Tim Jordan
of KFRC.

Ahh, she looks like she's making full power.

No oldies station would be complete without this memo
regarding the Beatles.
