December 2006

Over the Christmas holiday, Chris and I went out to stay with Garrett and Lily while their folks took a safari trip to Africa.

Of course we had a little trouble getting there with the big storm that hit Colorado, but we finally made it.

Every day was kind of a coat on day as the temperature was in the teens much of the time.  Garrett seemed ok with it though.

So, since it was so cold outside, Garrett and I decided it was time to learn a little electronics.  Here he is building a little Robot Kit.  He put virtually all of it together himself, except the soldering.

How about that, the project is complete and worked the first time.

The Robot works by following light.  It was pretty fast too.  Ask Garrett what happend to it when light from the outside windows took over.  Not a pretty sight.

This is outside the Fort Collins Radio Shack where we had to go for some repair parts.  Snow was built up everywhere.

Back at home, Maddie liked the snow too.

Here's Lily and Garret playing before bed.  Garrett doesn't seem to interested.

Even though she looks tame, this child is truly a terrist.  Its all a front.

Hey, give me something better to eat!

Where's the baby?

Time for bed.  Now we get a rest.
