This is the world famous WWV Radio
Station operated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Actually, there are two stations at the site located just a few miles West of
Wellington, approximately 10 miles North of Fort Collins, CO. One
broadcasts at 60 KHz, called WWVB and transmits time and frequency
signals. The other station, the traditional WWV, is a high frequency
facility broadcasting at 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 MHz. Douglas Sutton is one of the four engineers that man and maintain both facilities.
They are also responsible for building virtually all of what you are about to
see.

A sign as you approach the road leading to the site.

is mostly the South 60 KHz antenna system with the North array in the
background.

This is the security gate about 1/4 mile from the complex.
